061502 is a live concert DVD of Botch's final show at The Showbox in Seattle. It contains two discs, one for the Concert DVD consisting of 14 songs with a bonus commentary, and a video for "Saint Matthew Returns To The Womb", and other bonuses. The second disc is a CD containing the audio version of the DVD. The set was released on vinyl in 2016. Botch (band)
Botch is an American mathcore band formed in 1993 in Tacoma, Washington. The band, featuring Brian Cook, Dave Knudson, Tim Latona and Dave Verellen, spent four years as a garage band and released several demos and EPs before signing to Hydra Head Records. Through the label, Botch released two studio albums: '' American Nervoso'' (1998) and '' We Are the Romans'' (1999). The group toured extensively and internationally in support of their albums with like-minded bands such as The Blood Brothers, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Ink & Dagger and Jesuit. Botch struggled to write a third studio album, and in 2002 the group broke up due to tensions among the band members and creative differences. Hydra Head posthumously released an EP of songs the group had been working on before they split titled '' An Anthology of Dead Ends'' and a live album documenting their final show titled ''061502'' in 2006. An Anthology Of Dead Ends
''An Anthology of Dead Ends'' is an Extended play by Botch, released on Hydra Head Records in October 2002. It was the band's final studio recording, and was released after they disbanded. The album was released on 10" vinyl and CD; a 12" version was eventually released. The CD version is an enhanced CD containing a photo gallery, a music video for "Saint Matthew Returns to the Womb" and album credits. It was released in a digipak case as well as a standard jewel case. The song "Afghamistam" is mostly a departure from previous work, featuring subdued vocals, piano and overdubbed spoken word segments. Brian Cook (musician)
Brian Cook (born July 16, 1977) is an American bass guitarist currently in the bands Russian Circles and Sumac. He was also previously a full-time member of Botch, These Arms Are Snakes and Roy, and also a session musician for Mouth of the Architect. Cook is also a freelance journalist and has published a book titled ''The Second Chair is Meant for You''. He is openly gay. In August 2021, Cook released his first solo album titled ''We Left a Note with an Apology'' through Sargent House under the moniker Torment & Glory. The initial concept for the album dates back to the mid-2000's when he listened to Bruce Springsteen's 1982 studio album ''Nebraska'' on vinyl that was so covered in dust, the music was heavily distorted with occasional acoustic guitar music. Ben Verellen
Benjamin James Verellen is an American musician and audio engineer from Tacoma, Washington. Career Musician Verellen's first role was as bassist of the Tacoma post-hardcore/noise rock group Harkonen which formed in 1995. Harkonen released their debut album in 1999 through Wreck-Age before signing to Hydra Head Records in 2001. The group's final release was ''Like a Virgin''—a split release with These Arms Are Snakes— before disbanding in 2005. He formed the country music/folk rock band Roy as a side project in 2002 with his brother Dave Verellen and Brian Cook. The group released two studio albums and a few EPs and has been inactive since 2006. Verellen performed additional bass on These Arms Are Snakes' debut album ''Oxeneers or the Lion Sleeps When Its Antelope Go Home'', and was also briefly a touring drummer in 2005 until he abruptly quit without explanation and was quickly replaced by Chris Common. Dave Verellen is an American singer. He grew up in Tacoma, Washington, and was the vocalist for the influential mathcore band Botch. He has since gone on to play drums for the folk-country band Roy with his brother Ben Verellen (of Harkonen). In 2008 he formed the band Narrows with members of Some Girls and These Arms Are Snakes.
