0304
''0304'' is the fifth studio album by American singer Jewel, released on June 3, 2003, by Atlantic Records. Inspired by the sudden success of scoring a number one on the US '' Billboard'' Hot Dance Club Play chart with " Serve the Ego"—the final single from her previous album, '' This Way''—in early November 2002, Jewel decided to make a radical departure from her previous folk-oriented musical efforts and recorded a dance album. Background Within the liner notes to ''0304'', Jewel includes a note to her fans, explaining, "This album may seem different to you." According to Jewel, the album is a result of her desire to create a "modern interpretation of big band music. A record that slyric-driven, like Cole Porter stuff, that also has a lot of swing...that combined dance, urban, and folk music." For the album, Jewel teamed with producers Lester Mendez (Shakira, Enrique Iglesias) and Rick Nowels ( Madonna). Critical reception ''0304'' received generally positive review ...

Intuition (Jewel Song)

It was released on April 7, 2003, as the album's lead single. Following the club success of "Serve the Ego", Jewel shifted to a more pop-oriented sound with the release of "Intuition". The song, which strays from her usual folk style with simple acoustic guitar instrumentation, starts off with a French accordion and then experiments with dance-oriented beats with subtle urban influences, using synthesizers. The song's lyrics contain a number of references to popular culture, including namechecking celebrities such as singer and actress Jennifer Lopez, model Kate Moss, actor Charlie Sheen, magazines, film culture, and commercialism. "Intuition" achieved moderate success in the United States, reaching number 20 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. However, a number of Jewel's fans criticized her for abandoning her traditional fol ...

Q (magazine)
''Q'' was a popular music magazine published monthly in the United Kingdom. It was founded in 1986 by broadcast journalists Mark Ellen and David Hepworth, who were presenters of the BBC television music series ''The Old Grey Whistle Test''. ''Q'''s final issue was published in July 2020. ''Q'' was originally published by the EMAP media group and set itself apart from much of the other music press with monthly production and higher standards of photography and printing. In the early years, the magazine was sub-titled "The modern guide to music and more". Originally it was to be called ''Cue'' (as in the sense of cueing a record, ready to play), but the name was changed so that it would not be mistaken for a snooker magazine. Another reason, cited in ''Q''s 200th edition, is that a single-letter title would be more prominent on newsstands. In January 2008, EMAP sold its consumer magazine titles, including ''Q'', to the Bauer Media Group. Bauer put the title up for sale in 2020 ...
