Țintești is a commune in Buzău County, Muntenia Muntenia (, also known in English as Greater Wallachia) is a historical region of Romania, part of Wallachia (also, sometimes considered Wallachia proper, as ''Muntenia'', ''Țara Românească'', and the seldom used ''Valahia'' are synonyms in R ..., Romania. It is composed of four villages: Maxenu, Odaia Banului, Pogonele and Țintești. In 2021, there was a proposal to unite Țintești with the city of Buzău. This would be part of the "Buzău Mare 2021" ("Greater Buzău 2021") project, aiming to double Buzău in size and to develop the city more extensively once united with Țintești. This new Buzău would have around 120,000 inhabitants and the planned A7 motorway would go through the middle of it. The idea came from the mayor of Buzău, Constantin Toma. Buzău
The city of Buzău (formerly spelled ''Buzeu'' or ''Buzĕu''; ) is the county seat of Buzău County, Romania, in the historical region of Muntenia. It lies near the right bank of the Buzău River, between the south-eastern curvature of the Carpathian Mountains and the lowlands of Bărăgan Plain. Buzău is a railway hub in south-eastern Romania, where railways that link Bucharest to Moldavia and Transylvania to the Black Sea coast meet. DN2, a segment of European route E85 crosses the city. A7 Motorway (Romania)
The A7 motorway ( ro, Autostrada A7), also known as the Ploiești–Siret Motorway ( ro, Autostrada Ploiești–Siret) or the Moldavia Motorway ( ro, Autostrada Moldovei), is a partially built motorway in Romania, that upon completion will link Ploiești to the north-eastern part of the country, partly along the Pan-European Corridor IX. It will run along the route: Buzău, Focșani, Bacău, Roman, Pașcani, and Suceava, connecting to Ukraine's M19 highway near Siret. As of December 2020, the only segment in service is a long section, built as part of the Bacău bypass ( ro, Centura Bacău). All other sections of the motorway are in various stages of planning, tendering and construction, with the first segments expected to be finished by 2024 the earliest.
