Ștefan Petrache
Ștefan Petrache (8 May 1949 – 13 January 2020) was a Moldovan singer who was a member of bands ''Noroc'', ''Contemporanul'', ''Plai'' and others. Biography Petrache was born in Vînători, Nisporeni. While studying at the " Gavriil Musicescu" Institute of Arts in Chișinău (1978–1983), Petrache was a soloist with the Symphony and Pop Orchestra of the Teleradio-Moldova TeleRadio-Moldova (TRM) is the Moldovan state-owned national radio and television broadcaster. It owns two television channels and three radio stations. TRM was admitted as a full active member of the European Broadcasting Union on 1 January 199 ... (1974–1975), and performed with the vocal-instrumental ensembles ''Orizont'' (1977) and ''Contemporanul'' (1978–1981). Nisporeni () is a town in Moldova and the administrative center of Nisporeni District. History The first historical appearance was in 1618. The Romanian People's Salvation Cross, the largest cross in Moldova, was built in 2011 in Nisporeni. Gavriil Musicescu
Gavriil Musicescu (20 March 1847 – 21 December 1903) was a Romanian composer, conductor and musicologist, father of the pianist and musical pedagogue Florica Musicescu. Born in Budjak region, southern Bessarabia, he studied music and composition in Saint Petersburg and IaÈ™i. He is the author of numerous compositions of choral music. TeleRadio-Moldova (TRM) is the Moldovan state-owned national radio and television broadcaster. It owns two television channels and three radio stations. TRM was admitted as a full active member of the European Broadcasting Union on 1 January 1993, under its former name ''Radioteleviziunea Nationala din Moldova'' (RTNM). History The first radio transmission in Moldova was broadcast on November 1, 1928 by the Radiotelephonic Broadcasting Company in Bucharest. On 30 October 1930, in Tiraspol started broadcasting a Soviet radio station of 4 kW whose main purpose was the anti-Romanian propaganda to Moldova between Prut and Dniester. A new radio mast, M. Gorky, built in 1936 in Tiraspol, allowed a greater coverage of the territory of Bessarabia. The Order of the Republic () is Moldova's highest Order (decoration), order. It is awarded by the President of Moldova for exceptional merits in all fields which benefit Moldova and humanity as a whole.
