Filip Topol
Filip Topol (12 June 1965 – 19 June 2013) was a Czech singer, songwriter, pianist and writer. He was best known as leader of the alternative rock band Psí vojáci (''Dog Soldiers''), but he also performed as a solo artist. Topol was the younger brother of the writer Jáchym Topol, son of the playwright and dissident Josef Topol and grandchild of the writer Karel Schulz. Biography Topol was born in Prague. He started playing piano as a child and was introduced to the Czech intellectual and artistic underground movement while he was still very young. He has co-founded Psí vojáci in 1979, along with the drummer David Skála and bassist Jan Hazuka. The band was named after the warriors from Thomas Berger's novel ''Little Big Man''. He made his solo public début at the age of 13, as an opening act before the first performance of the Plastic People of the Universe's ''Passion Play''. Iva Janžurová
Iva Janžurová (born 19 May 1941) is a Czech actress. She attended school in České Budějovice and in 1963, she graduated from the Faculty of Theatre at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. In 1964, she became the main member of Vinohrady Theatre and since 1988 has been a member of the National Theatre in Prague. She has appeared in many films, such as ''Což takhle dát si špenát'', ''Marecek, Pass Me the Pen!'', and the television series ''Hospital at the End of the City''. In 1998 and 2002, she was awarded the Czech Lion for Best Actress. Biography Janžurová was born into a family of teachers. Tomáš Hanák (born March 27, 1957) is a Czech actor, comedian, screenwriter, and TV presenter who has appeared in several films and television shows since 1984. He is also an occasional singer. Biography Hanák was born in Kremnica, Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia). He spent two years in Cuba when he was a child, travelling a lot with his parents, where his father worked as a representative of the PZO in the implementation of engineering contracts. From his youth he devoted himself to rowing and repeatedly competed as a representative of Czechoslovakia in non-socialist countries. He became a repeated champion of the Czech Republic. Petr Lébl (16 May 1965, Prague – 12 December 1999, Prague) was a Czech theatre director, scenographer, actor, designer and artistic director of the Theatre on the Balustrade. Lébl is considered one of the most significant personalities of the 20th century Czech theatre. Beginnings Lébl devoted himself to theatre from an early age. At the age of 15 he became a member of the amateur theatre group ''DOPRAPO'' (the group was later renamed to ''Jak se vám jelo'' and ''JELO''), with which he performed in his first play, ''Kolotoč splněných přání''. He studied at high-school specializing in graphic arts, and later used his experience in this area on theatre stages. In 1982, as a high-school student, Lébl attempted to create scenic variations on the theme of the novel ''Slapstick'' by Kurt Vonnegut.
