Žarkovo
Žarkovo ( sr-cyr, Жарково, ) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Čukarica. Location and divisions Žarkovo (Greater Žarkovo) is one of the most populous single neighborhoods of Belgrade. As such, it is divided in several sub-neighborhoods, which were built as Žarkovo's extensions: Julino Brdo and Repište to the north, Cerak- Cerak II to the west and Bele Vode and Rupčine to the south. In general, Greater Žarkovo is bordered by the Čukarica, Banovo Brdo and Sunčana Padina to the north, Košutnjak (with Filmski Grad) to the east, Skojevsko Naselje and Cerak Vinogradi to the northeast and Makiš to the west. On the south, it is bordered by the open fields of ''Stari Lanci'', ''Novi Lanci'' and ''Rupčine'', but with the urbanized strip of land alongside the Belgrade-Bar railway and the ''Vodovodska Street'' it makes a continuous built-up area with Železnik to the southwest. Čukarica
Čukarica ( sr-cyr, Чукарица, ) is a municipality of the city of Belgrade. Name Like several other neighborhoods of Belgrade, Čukarica was named after kafana. At the present location of the Sugar Refinery, there was a kafana in the second half of the 19th century. It was very popular as it was located at the point where two roads, one from Obrenovac and other from Šumadija, meet at the entrance to Belgrade. It was owned by Stojko Čukar and after him the kafana was named “Čukareva kafana” which later gave name to the settlement. History The village of Čukarica asked to be transferred to the Belgrade municipality in 1906, but the plea was rejected. Subdivisions Of Belgrade

Bele Vode
Bele Vode ( sr-cyr, Беле воде, lit. "White Waters") is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Čukarica. Location Bele Vode is located in the southwestern part of Belgrade, as a western sub-neighborhood of Žarkovo. It is located west of the Ibarska magistrala (Highway of Ibar), bounded by Žarkovo from the north, Cerak from the east, Rupčine from the south and Makiš from the west. Repište, Belgrade
Repište ( Serbian Cyrillic: Репиште, ) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Čukarica. Location Repište actually makes the eastern part of the Žarkovo neighborhood, bordered by the Banovo Brdo and Sunčana Padina to the north, Sports Center Košutnjak to the east, Cerak to the south and Žarkovo itself to the west. History Prior to urbanization, the hilly area above Repište was known as the grapevine growing area. A report from 1970 described Repište as a "new neighborhood" that many Belgraders from downtown were not familiar with. At the time, Repište had pleasant houses with yards and gardens, but the streets had no pavements or street lights. Makiš
Makiš ( sr, Макиш) is a forest and an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Čukarica. Location Makiš is bordered by the Sava river and Sava Lake to the west and north, Čukarica and Čukarička Padina to the northeast, Julino Brdo, Žarkovo, Bele Vode and Rupčine to the east, Železnik to the south and Ostružnica to the southwest. Geography For the most part, Makiš is a marshy forest, crossed by many small streams and canals, most notably the ''Marevica''. Železnik
Železnik ( sr-cyr, Железник, ) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Čukarica. Location Železnik is located in the central part of the Čukarica municipality, southwest from downtown Belgrade. It borders Makiš to the north, and apart from a narrow strip of urbanized land alongside the Belgrade-Bar railway and Vodovodska Street towards Žarkovo in the northeast, it has no urban connection to other parts of Belgrade. Banovo Brdo ( sr-cyrl, Баново брдо, ) is a neighbourhood of Belgrade, Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Čukarica. Location Banovo Brdo is bounded by the neighborhoods of Čukarica and Čukarička Padina in the west, Ada Ciganlija and Careva Ćuprija in the north, Topčider and Košutnjak in the east and Žarkovo and Julino Brdo in the south. Rupčine
Rupčine ( Serbian Cyrillic: Рупчине) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Čukarica. Location Rupčine is actually the southwesternmost part of the Žarkovo neighborhood, bordered by Bele Vode to the north, Cerak Vinogradi (that is, ''Ibarska Magistrala'' road) to the east, and the ''Vodovodska Street'' and Makiš to the west. Košutnjak
Košutnjak ( sr-cyr, Кошутњак, ) is a park-forest and urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is divided between in the municipalities of Čukarica (upper and central parts) and Rakovica (lower part). With the adjoining Topčider, it is colloquially styled "Belgrade's oxygen factory". The 1923 Belgrade's general plan, in which one of the main projects regarding the green areas was forestation of the area between Topčider and the city, envisioned a continuous green area Senjak – Topčidersko Brdo – Hajd Park – Topčider – Košutnjak, which was formed by the 1930s.
