Sharaf Al-Din Qaraqush
Sharaf al-Din Qaraqush al-Muzaffari al-Nasiri al-Taqavi (died 1212) was a Turkish people, Turkish Mamluk in the service of the Ayyubid prince Al-Muzaffar I Umar, al-Muzaffar, who engaged in a series of campaigns of conquest in Tripolitania and Ifriqiya between 1172 and the 1190s. However some historians like Ibn Khaldun and Ibn Galbun said that he was of Armenians, Armenian origin. Operating on behalf of Saladin initially, but increasingly on his own account, he fought against the expanding Almohad Caliphate and allied with the Banu Ghaniya. In the end, he fell out with the Ghaniya, and was defeated and executed by Yahya ibn Ghaniya at Waddan, Libya, Waddan in 1212. References Sources

Şerafettin Taşliova (10 April 1938 – 20 September 2014) was a Turkish storyteller in the asik bardic tradition. Taşliova won many prizes at bardic contests for improvised poetry and storytelling; many at international level. He had also been awarded by UNESCO. He started writing poetry around the age of ten and was widely recognised for his ability to tell epic tales, being one of the most prominent figures in the northeastern Anatolian tradition of minstrelsy, He was a prolific published author of poetry, and has also recorded many albums of his poetry and bardic stories. Hamit Zübeyir Koşay (; ; 1897–1984) was a Turkish archaeologist, ethnographer, writer, and folklore researcher. Biography He was the son of Ubeydullah Efendi, who was a scholar of the period and Rizaetdin Fäxretdin (close friend of Musa Bigiev) a scientist, was his brother-in-law. He was sent to Turkey with the support of Rizaetdin Fäxretdin for his education in 1909. He graduated from Thessalonica Central Secondary School in 1911. Şerafettin Elçi (14 March 1938 – 25 December 2012) was a Kurdish lawyer, politician, government minister and statesman in Turkey. He was one of the pioneers of Kurdish politics in Turkey. Early years Şerafettin Elçi was born in Cizre, Şırnak Province on 14 March 1938. He finished primary education in his hometown. After completing secondary education in Mardin, he studied law at Ankara University, Law School and graduated in 1964. Sharfuddin Ahmad (born 15 September 1955), is an Indian lawyer, political leader and author. In 1996, he contested in the 11th Lok Sabha Elections from Kanpur Constituency under the platform of Bahujan Samaj Party.
