Åžaziye Ä°vegin
Åžaziye Ä°vegin (born 8 February 1982) is a Turkish retired professional basketball player. A basketball player’s daughter, Ä°vegin started basketball in 7th school class on the same day together with her two younger sisters. The three sisters played in the Adana-based club BotaÅŸspor and won twice the Turkish Girls’ Basketball League championship title. At her age of 22, she became the youngest women's basketball team captain in the country. After 10 successful years with BotaÅŸ, Ä°vegin transferred to Fenerbahçe on May 7, 2004. Ä°vegin was member of the Turkish national team that participated at the 2005 Mediterranean Games in AlmerÃa, Spain and won the gold medal. She is a student of business administration at the Anadolu University. The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. Small forwards are typically shorter, quicker, and leaner than power forwards and centers but taller, larger, and stronger than either of the guard positions.
