Jon Switalski
Jon Switalski is a former Democratic politician from the U.S. state of Michigan. He was a member of the Michigan State House of Representatives, representing the 25th District which covers parts of Warren and Sterling Heights. Switalski was elected to his second term in the State House in 2010. He had previously served two terms as the Macomb County Commissioner and worked as an aide to former U.S. Congressman David Bonior and was an advocate for health workers for the Service Employees International Union. Switalski is currently the Director of External Affairs for River LA, a nonprofit working on the revitalization of the Los Angeles River. Karol Świtalski
Karol Edward Świtalski (23 October 1902 – 2 June 1993) was a Polish Lutheran priest and military chaplain. During the 1930s, he was a senior chaplain for Lutherans in the Polish Armed Forces. Early life and formation Świtalski was born in Radomsko, then located with Vistula Land, part of the Russian Empire. He was the son of Karol Śwital and Amelia (née Kawecka). He studied the humanities at a gymnasium, before studying at the Protestant faculty of theology at the University of Warsaw. He was ordained a priest on 13 October 1929 in the Holy Trinity Church in Warsaw. Early priesthood From 1929 to 1931, Świtalski taught at the Lutheran seminary in Działdowo, and from 1931 to 1932, he ministered in Łomża. Kazimierz Stanisław Świtalski (; 4 March 1886, Sanok – 28 December 1962, Warsaw, Poland) was a Polish politician, diplomat, soldier, military officer in the Polish Legions and 18th Prime Minister of Poland between April and December 1929. Early life and studies Kazimierz Świtalski was born on 4 March 1886 as the son of Albin Świtalski, governor of Rudki and Sanok, and his second wife Marie Antoinette Veith, whose grandfather, by the order of Emperor Francis I, arrived in Austrian Poland in 1834, together with eight other German families. Between 1897 and 1904 Kazimierz attended the Queen Sofia High School located in Sanok (his classmates included Zdzisław Adamczyk, Witold Fusek, Bolesław Mozołowski and Bronisław Praszałowicz). He is the founder of Elektromis, Eurocash, Biedronka, Żabka (convenience store), Żabka, Małpka Express and has been named as one of the richest people in Poland by Wprost, Wprost weekly. Piotr Antoni Świtalski (born 2 August 1957, in Kutno) is a Polish diplomat; permanent representative of Poland to the Council of Europe (2005–2010) and ambassador of the European Union to Armenia (2015–2019).
