Ľubomír Stankovský
Ľubomír Stankovský (23 August 1951 – 8 March 2024) was a Slovak pop rock musician. He was well known for the hit song ''Ty, ja a môj brat.'' Career Ľubomír Stankovský was born on 23 August 1951 in Bratislava, where he lived until his death. In 1967, he co-founded the rock band Modus together with Ján Baláž and Miroslav Žbirka. Stankovský remained a member of Modus, playing drums, until 1973. Following his departure from Modus, Stankovský continued his career as a rock and pop drummer through collaborations with a variety of artists. He recorded six albums with Vladimír Hronec, Dežo Ursiny, Milan Lasica, Jaroslav Filip as well as the bands Elán, Prognóza, Burčiak and Provisorium. In 1980s, Stankovský started to play with Modus again. In 1984, the song ''Ty, ja a môj brat,'' better known by the refrain lyric ''Odrazové sklíčka dotykov'' became a huge hit. Elán (band)
Elán is a Slovak pop rock band founded in 1968 by elementary school classmates Jozef Ráž, Jožo Ráž, Václav Patejdl, Vašo Patejdl, Juraj Farkaš, and Zdeno Baláž. They became one of the most popular Czechoslovakia, Czechoslovak bands during the 1980s, releasing ten successful albums between 1981 and 1991. In 1993, the group represented Slovakia in the preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest but having finished in fourth place, failed to qualify for the finals in Ireland. Elán performed at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec, Czech Republic, as part of the championship's entertainment festivities. Ján Lehotský
Ján, also credited as Janko Lehotský (born 16 April 1947) is a Slovak composer and former leader of the Modus band. Lehotský began his performing career when he was four years old, when he performed in a marionette theater. He was a freelance composer during the Velvet Revolution. In 1974 he began managing the band Modus, in which performed also Marika Gombitová and Miroslav Žbirka. He created about 20 records in his career. Jaroslav Filip (22 June 1949, Hontianske Moravce – 11 July 2000, Bratislava), known as Jaro Filip, was a Slovak musician, composer, humorist, dramaturge, actor, columnist, and early promoter of the internet in Slovakia. His work includes numerous pop hits in cooperation with the singer Richard Müller, including "Cigaretka na dva ťahy", "Milovanie v daždi", and "Daňový únik". From the 1970s, Filip collaborated with comedians and musicians Milan Lasica and Július Satinský, recording a number of albums, including ''Bolo nás jedenásť'', ''S vetrom o preteky'', and ''My''. Milan Lasica (; 3 February 1940 – 18 July 2021) was a popular Slovak comedian, actor, singer, writer, lyricist and satirist. Active from 1961 to his death, he was known from his double act with Július Satinský and their collaboration with musician Jaroslav Filip and other Slovak and Czech comedians and actors.
