İnşaatçı Sabirabad FK ( az, İnşaatçı Sabirabad Futbol Klubu) was an Azerbaijani football (soccer), football club from Sabirabad (city), Sabirabad founded in 1989, as ''Stroitel Sabirabad'', changing their name to ''İnşaatçı Baku'' in 1992 before dissolving in 1995. They won the ''Soviet Second League B Zone III'' championship in 1989 and the cup in Azerbaijan Cup#Soviet time Cup winners, 1986. They participated in the Azerbaijan Premier League, Azerbaijan Top Division in 1992 and 1993, finishing 8th in their first season and 14th in their second. Sabirabad (city)
Sabirabad (also, Galagayin, Petropavlovka, and Petropavlovskoye) is a city in and the capital of the Sabirabad District of Azerbaijan. The city was renamed in honor of the poet Mirza Alakbar Sabir. Sabirabad is the administrative center of Sabirabad District of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 1935, the district received the status of subordinate city. Sabirabad is located on the right bank of the Kura River. In the vicinity of the city called Sugovushan, the Araz River is merged with the Kur River. The Azerbaijan Premier League ( az, Azərbaycan Premyer Liqası) is a professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Azerbaijan football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. It is contested by 10 clubs. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 36 matches each (playing each team in the league four times, twice at home and twice away). The 1992 Azerbaijan Top League was the first season of the Azerbaijan Top League, since their independence from the USSR in August 1991, and was contested by 26 clubs.
