Činkiai (formerly russian: Чинкяй, pl, Czynkie) was a village, located in Kėdainiai district municipality, in Kaunas County, in central Lithuania. It was from Nociūnai, between Medekšiai and Kudžioniai villages, by the Šerkšnys river. History At the end of the 19th century it belonged to the Medekšiai estate. Medekšiai
Medekšiai (formerly russian: Медекши, pl, Medeksze) is a village in Kėdainiai district municipality, in Kaunas County, in central Lithuania. According to the 2011 census, the village had a population of 184 people. It is located from Kėdainiai, by the Šerkšnys river, alongside the Jonava-Šeduva (KK144) road. A phosphogypsum waste dump of "Lifosa" fertilizer factory is located next to Medekšiai. History Medekšiai has been known since the 15th century. King Jogaila presented the village to a certain ''Proszczy'' whose nickname was ''Medekša''. Pranciškus Medekša, a judge of Kovensky Uyezd, had been native of this family. In the end of the 19th century Medekšiai was a property of the Geištarai. Činkiai village and Slabadėlė ''folwark'' belonged to the Medekšiai Manor. Pelėdnagiai Eldership ( lt, Pelėdnagių seniūnija) is a Lithuanian eldership, located in the south eastern part of Kėdainiai District Municipality. Eldership was created from the Pelėdnagiai ''selsovet'' in 1993. Geography The territory of Pelėdnagiai Eldership is located mostly in the Nevėžis Plain and the Nevėžis river valley. Relief is mostly flat, cultivated as agriculture lands. Nociūnai (formerly russian: Нацуны, pl, Nacuny) is a village in Kėdainiai district municipality, in Kaunas County, in central Lithuania. According to the 2011 census, the village had a population of 304 people. It is located from Kėdainiai, by the Barupė river, next to the crossroad of the Jonava-Šeduva (KK144) road and A8 highway. There is a library, a community center, a former school, a cemetery, an ancient burial site. History The Nociūnai Manor was a property of the Šiukštos family in the 19th century. The territory of Lithuania is divided into 10 counties (Lithuanian language, Lithuanian: singular ''apskritis'', plural ''apskritys''), all named after their capitals.
