The Četvrta NL Čakovec-Varaždin (Croatian) also known as the NL ČK-VŽ is a fourth tier league competition in the Croatian football league system. The league was formed in 2014 as the "Međužupanijska liga Čakovec-Varaždin" and in 2017, it changed its name to "Četvrta NL Čakovec-Varaždin". The Treća nogometna liga ( eng, Third football league), commonly Treća NL or 3. NL) is the fourth tier of the football league system. The league was reestablished in 2022 following the reconstruction of league system in Croatia. It is operated by the Croatian Football Federation. History The fourth Croatian football league was played for the first time in 2006, after the merger of the 2. HNL - North and 2. HNL - South into a single 2. HNL. With the aforementioned changes, part of the clubs from the second league were relegated to the 3. Međimurje County (; hr, Međimurska županija ; hu, Muraköz megye) is a triangle-shaped Counties of Croatia, county in the northernmost part of Croatia, roughly corresponding to the historical and geographical region of Međimurje (region), Međimurje. Despite being the smallest Croatian county by size, it is the most densely populated one (not including the Zagreb, City of Zagreb). Varaždin County ( hr, Varaždinska županija) is a county in Northern Croatia. It is named after its county seat, the city of Varaždin. Geography The county contains the city of Varaždin, the towns of: Ivanec, Ludbreg, Lepoglava, Novi Marof and Varaždinske Toplice, as well as 22 municipalities.
