Červený Kostelec (; german: Rothkosteletz) is a town in Náchod District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 8,300 inhabitants. Etymology The word ''kostelec'' is derived from ''kostel'' (i.e. 'church') and meant "fortified church". To distinguish it from other municipalities with the same name, the adjective ''červený'' (i.e. 'red') was added in 1876. It referred to the red Permian formation that was uncovered here, and to the coloring of the local stream, which occurred during floods. Bohdašín Formation
The Bohdašín Formation (Czech: ''Bohdašínské souvrství'') is a geologic unit of Late Triassic age (about 210 Ma), located in the Czech Republic. A small tridactyl footprint of a coelophysoid theropod or an indeterminate dinosauromorph was found around 1995 near Červený Kostelec in these strata. It was classified as ichnogenus ''Eubrontes''. Küsnacht
Küsnacht is a municipality in the district of Meilen in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland. History Küsnacht is first mentioned in 1188 as ''de Cussenacho''. Earliest findings of settlement date back to the stone age. There are also findings from the Bronze Age. During Roman times, a mansion was located on the commons. Viktor Kalabis
Viktor Kalabis (27 February 1923 – 28 September 2006) was a Czech composer, music editor, musicologist, and husband of harpsichordist Zuzana Růžičková. Life Born in Červený Kostelec, Kalabis was interested in music from a young age, but due to the Nazi occupation of Prague during the Second World War, he was unable to study music in Prague. After the end of the war, Kalabis studied at the Prague Conservatory and at the Academy of Music and Charles University. In 1952, Kalabis married Zuzana Růžičková, who became a famous harpsichord player. They both refused to join the Communist Party, which impeded the beginning of their music careers. Eventually, Kalabis got work in the children's music section at Prague Radio, where he established the Concertino Praga competition for young musicians. Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer
Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer ( cs, Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer) (1 September 1689, Prague – 18 December 1751) was a Bohemian architect of the Baroque era. He was the fifth son of the German architect Christoph Dientzenhofer and the Bohemian-German Maria Anna Aichbauer (née Lang), widow of the architect Johann Georg Achbauer the Elder, and a member of the well known Dientzenhofer family of architects. As an architect he co-operated with his father and with Jan Santini Aichel. Among Dientzenhofer's Prague buildings are the churches of Saint John of Nepomuk and Saint Nicholas, as well as the Vila Amerika and the Kinský Palace.
