"L'étoile" (meaning "The Star") is a song recorded by Canadian singer Celine Dion, released on 11 October 2016 as the second single in Canada from '' Encore un soir'' (2016). The lyrics were written by Grand Corps Malade and the music was composed by Mutine (Manon Romiti and Silvio Lisbonne) and Florent Mothe. Lisbonne handled the production with Tiborg serving as an additional producer. On 4 January 2017, "L'étoile" was released as the third single in France. ''L'étoile'' is an opéra bouffe in three acts by Emmanuel Chabrier with a libretto by Eugène Leterrier and Albert Vanloo. Chabrier met his librettists at the home of a mutual friend, the painter Gaston Hirsh, in 1875. Chabrier played to them early versions of the romance "O petite étoile" and the ensemble "Le pal, est de tous les supplices..." (with words by Verlaine which Leterrier and Vanloo found too bold and toned down). They agreed to collaborate and Chabrier set about composition with enthusiasm. Étoile Football Club was a professional football club which was formed to play in Singapore's S.League in 2010 and is currently a local football academy focused on grassroots football development for the underprivileged. Etoile Haïtienne (, English: ''Haitian Star'') is a professional football club based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. After the 2003 season, the club was relegated to Division 3. The last ''known'' time the club played in Division 1 was in 1970. ''Étoile'' ("''Star''") was a fluyt of the French Navy. She was originally a merchantman named ''Placelière'' and was purchased by the Navy while still on the stocks. She was renamed ''Étoile'' in April 1763 and re-classed as a corvette. She is famous for being one of Louis Antoine de Bougainville's ships in his circumnavigation between 1766 and 1769, along with ''Boudeuse''. Career ''Étoile'' was originally built between 1759 and 1762 as a fluyt named ''Placelière'' and was purchased while still on the stocks for King Louis XIV's Navy on 4 August 1762. She was pierced for 20 guns. ''Étoile'' sailed to Rochefort on 22 December 1763.
