Ülo Voitka
Brothers Voitka are Ülo Voitka (born 7 October 1968) and Aivar Voitka (born 17 March 1967). They were Estonian Forest Brothers 1986–2000. 27 March 1986 the brothers became forest brothers, when they fled with Aavo Voitka and Aivar Votika from soviet recruitment. Aavo Voitka and Aivar Voitka were eventually caught and punished, but Ülo and Aivar managed to continue their hiding till the year 2000, 9 years after the Estonian restoration of Independence. They were spotted and reported to the authorities by a local who saw them. When the police surrounded the brothers, the brothers opened fire in the direction of police, but did not hit anyone. K-kommando was brought, and through negotiation, the brothers surrendered. The punishment of brothers was controversial. They are arguably the last forest brothers. Forest Brothers
The Guerrilla war in the Baltic states was an armed struggle which was waged by the Latvian, Lithuanian, and Estonian partisans, called the Forest Brothers (also: the "Brothers of the Wood" and the "Forest Friars"; et, metsavennad, lv, mežabrāļi, lt, žaliukai), against the Soviet Union during the Soviet invasion and occupation of the three Baltic states both during and after World War II. Similar anti-Soviet Central and Eastern European resistance groups fought against Soviet and communist rule in Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, and western Ukraine. The Red Army occupied the independent Baltic states in 1940–1941 and, after a period of German occupation, it re-occupied them in 1944–1945. As Stalinist repression intensified over the following years, some 50,000 residents of these countries used the heavily forested countryside as a natural refuge and base for armed anti-Soviet insurgency. Pekka Lehto
Pekka Lehto (born 14 March 1948) is a Finnish film director. He has directed fifteen films since 1976. He co-directed ''Flame Top'' with Pirjo Honkasalo and the film was entered into the 1981 Cannes Film Festival. He also won the Jussi Award for Best Director for the film. His 1992 film '' Kaivo'' was entered into the competition at the 49th Venice International Film Festival.
