Øyvind Grøn
Øyvind Grøn (born 11 March 1944) is a Norwegian physicist. Biography Grøn was born in Oslo, and is a twin. He took the cand. real. degree at the University of Oslo in 1973, majoring in meteorology. He followed up with the PhD degree in 1990 with a thesis on repulsive gravitation. He started his academic career as a research assistant at the University of Oslo, and has also been a lecturer there. He was appointed as a professor at Oslo University College in 1994, having been an associate professor since 1985. He has also been professor II at the University of Oslo since 1994. Scientific contributions Rotating reference frames Grøn has conducted research within the areas of general relativity, cosmology and classical electromagnetism. Øyvind VonDoren Asbjørnsen (born 28 November 1963) is a Norwegian film producer, director, entrepreneur and watchmaker. He has made several documentaries, TV-series and short films. One of his most notable work was ''The Prince of Chess'', a 2005 full-length documentary about 13-year-old chess prodigy Magnus Carlsen. Øyvind Berg (born 14 January 1959 is a Norwegian lyric poet, playwright, actor and translator. Berg was born in Oslo. He studied to the intermediate levelThe Intermediate status requires that the student have taken 90 credits in a particular subject. This corresponds to roughly 1.5 years of study for that subject. in philosophy, literature and egyptology at the University of Bergen and the University of Tromsø. He was a member of the Norwegian Authors' Union from 1987 to 1988 and 1993 to 1996. He was selected to serve on the Arts Council Norway's appeal committee for recognition of new Norwegian literature. Øyvind Brandtsegg (born 16 February 1971 in Steinkjer, Norway) is a Norwegian musician (percussion, electronica), programmer and composer, known from a series of recordings, and collaborations with such bands as Motorpsycho and Krøyt. Career Brandtsegg studied music at the "Sund folkehøgskole" (Sund Folk High School) in Inderøy Municipality. He studied the vibraphone at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and created a music software program called ImproSculpt, which samples different tones from the environment (including via body sensors) at the same time the music is performed, processes them and generates ever-changing variations in real time. He plays an instrument called the Marimba Lumina, a MIDI-based marimba which allows the players movements affect the sound. Øyvind Leonhardsen (born 17 August 1970) is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He retired after the 2007 season, ending a career with nine years in English football at clubs Wimbledon, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Aston Villa, and in Norway he played for Molde, Rosenborg, Lyn, and Strømsgodset. Øyvind Bolthof (born March 30, 1977) is a Norwegian football goalkeeper. His earlier clubs are Lyn, Bøler IF, Bækkelagets SK and Årvoll IL, but he joined Vålerenga already in 1995.
