Østervrå
Østervrå (formerly Øster Vrå) is a town in Vendsyssel, North Jutland Region, Denmark. As of 2025, the town has a population of 1,270. The town and farm areas around the town were hit by an F3 tornado on September 9, 1924. Severe damage occurred with homes and farms partially collapsing. Joakim Mæhle
Joakim Mæhle Pedersen (born 20 May 1997) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a full-back for Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg and the Denmark national team. Club career AaB Born in Østervrå, Vendsyssel, Mæhle started playing football with local club Østervrå IF and moved to the AaB youth academy as a 12-year-old. At the age of 19, Mæhle was promoted into the first team squad on 10 June 2016 and also signed a full-time senior contract with AaB. He made his debut for AaB on 7 August 2016. Poul Kjærholm
Poul Kjærholm (1929–1980) was a Danish designer. Born in Østervrå, Denmark, Kjærholm began his career as a cabinetmaker's apprentice with Gronbech in 1948, attending the Danish School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen in 1952. In 1953, he married Hanne Kjærholm who became a successful architect. While working as a designer, he also became an educator continuing studies with Prof. Erik Herløw and Prof. Palle Suenson. Life From the mid-1950s he worked for his friend Ejvind Kold Christiansen, for whom he produced an extensive range of his furniture. Frederikshavn Municipality
Frederikshavn Municipality () is the northernmost Danish municipality, located in Region Nordjylland. As a result of ''Kommunalreformen'' ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007), it is a merger between the previous municipalities of Frederikshavn, Skagen and Sæby. The new municipality has an area of 642 km² and a total population of 57,882 (2025). The first mayor of the new municipality was Erik Sørensen (Social Democrats). Vendsyssel
Vendsyssel () is the northernmost traditional district of Denmark and of Jutland. Being divided from mainland Jutland by the Limfjord, it is technically a part of the North Jutlandic Island which also comprises the areas Hanherred and Thy. Vendsyssel is part of the North Denmark Region. Vendsyssel neighbours Hanherred to the southwest and Himmerland to the south, across the Limfjord. Whether the island Læsø is also a part of Vendsyssel, is a matter of definition.
