Northern Cyprus ( tr, Kuzey Kıbrıs), officially the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC; tr, Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti, ''KKTC''), is a ''de facto'' state that comprises the northeastern portion of the Geography of Cyprus, island of Cyprus. Serdar Denktaş is son of Rauf Denktaş, the former President of the de facto Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. He was the Minister of Finance of Northern Cyprus from April 2016 to May 2019. His previous portfolios include Labour, Settlement, Foreign Affairs, Economy, Tourism, Sports, Interior, Rural Affairs, Environment, State, Youth, National Education and Culture. Hamza Ersan Saner (born 1966) served as the Prime Minister of Northern Cyprus from 9 December 2020 to 5 November 2021. President Ersin Tatar gave the task of establishing the government on 7 November 2020 to Ersan Saner, as he would temporarily serve as its chair until the National Unity Party Congress. After 14 days of contacts with other political parties, he was unable to form a government and returned the post on 21 November 2020. After the Leader of the Republican Turkish Party, Tufan Erhürman, who was given the task of forming the government, could not form the government, Ersan Saner was assigned to form the government for the second time on 7 December 2020. Faiz Sucuoğlu (born 27 August 1961) is a Turkish Cypriot politician who was the prime minister of Northern Cyprus from 5 November 2021 to 12 May 2022. Biography Sucuoğlu was born in Polis on 27 August 1961. His father, Mehmet Salih Sucuoğlu (died 2018), later served as the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Settlement in Northern Cyprus.
