Melahat Özgü Namal (born 28 December 1978) is a Turkish actress. Biography Her maternal family are Turkish immigrants from Thessaloniki, Ottoman Empire (now in Greece). Her paternal family is Turkish immigrant from Macedonia. Özgü Amel Namal started acting at the Masal Gerçek Theatre when she was a child. She graduated from the theater department of the State Conservatory of Istanbul University. She made her television debut in ''Affet Bizi Hocam'' and then appeared in the TV series ''Karete Can'', hit series ''Yeditepe İstanbul'', in one of the longest hit series ''Kurtlar Vadisi'' as Elif Eylül, "Hanımın Çiftliği" based on a classic novel by Orhan Kemal and "Merhamet" based on a novel by Hande Altaylı. Namal made her film debut in ''Sır Çocukları'' in 2002. ''Second Spring'' ( tr, İkinci Bahar) is a Turkish television series, broadcast between 1998-2001 by ATV. First 8 episodes appeared between 29 October 1998 – 20 May 1999 (with some reruns). The next 15 episodes were between 17 February-25 May 2000 and the last 14 episodes were between 21 September 2000 – 11 January 2001. International Istanbul Film Festival
The Istanbul Film Festival ( tr, İstanbul Film Festivali) is the first and oldest international film festival in Turkey, organised by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts. It is held every year in April in movie theaters in Istanbul, Turkey. ''Büyü'' (''The Spell'') is a 2004 Turkish horror film directed by Orhan Oğuz. Though the film was a surprise box office success, it received very poor reviews. Hanımın Çiftliği ( en, Lady's Farm) is a Turkish drama series. It has been adapted from Orhan Kemal's novel '' Hanımın Çiftliği''. It has been very praised and won numerous awards. Plot The plot sets around a poor worker girl named Güllü. She works in a factory and is constantly mistreated by her father and older brother. She is in love with a man named Kemal, a factory worker as well, and they wish to get married but her father won't let her because he wants her to marry Ramazan, the nephew of the factory owner. As the story develops Kemal and Güllü plan to run away together but are stopped by her older brother who comes after them with a gun. Kemal manages to take the gun from Güllüs brother and shoot him but is arrested by the police for doing this. As Kemal ends up in prison, Güllü is beaten worse than before for refusing to marry Ramazan.
