Halit RefiÄŸ
Halit RefiÄŸ (5 March 1934 – 11 October 2009) was a Turkish film director, film producer, screenwriter and writer. He made around sixty films, including feature films, documentaries and TV serials. He is considered to be the pioneer of the National Cinema movement and the initiator of the production of TV serials in Turkey. Biography Halit RefiÄŸ graduated from ÅžiÅŸli Terakki High School in 1951 and studied engineering at Robert College in Istanbul. RefiÄŸ directed his first films in 8mm while he served as a military reserve officer in Korea, Japan and Ceylon. He wrote articles on cinema at newspapers in 1956 and published the ''Sinema Dergisi'' magazine together with Nijat Özön. He began his career as Atıf Yılmaz's assistant in 1957 together with Yılmaz Güney. He worked as scriptwriter for Atıf Yılmaz and Memduh Ün. Tanju Gürsu (30 October 1936 – 7 June 2016) was a Turkish actor, director, and screenwriter who was a major star of Turkish cinema in the 1960s and 1970s. He appeared in films such as ''Haremde Dört Kadın'' (1965) and '' Üç Korkusuz Arkadaş'' (1966) under director Halit Refiğ. As a director, he directed films such as '' Erkek Kazım'' (1975) and '' Kazım'a Bak Kazım'a'' (1975). He died of respiratory failure on 7 June 2016 at the age of 77. The adventure film is a broad genre of film. Some early genre studies found it no different than the Western film or argued that adventure could encompass all Hollywood genres. Commonality was found among historians Brian Taves and Ian Cameron in that the genre required a setting that was both remote in time and space to the film audience and that it contained a positive hero who tries to make right in their world. Some critics such as Taves limit the genre to naturalistic settings, while Yvonne Tasker found that would limit films such as '' Raiders of the Lost Ark'' (1981) from the genre. Tasker found that most films in the genre featured narratives located within a fantasy world of exoticized setting, which are often driven by quests for characters seeking mythical objects or treasure hunting.
