Ödipussi
''Ödipussi'' is a 1988 German comedy film, written and directed by and also starring Loriot. It was the first of two feature films he directed, the other one being ''Pappa Ante Portas.'' The title is a pun on the Oedipus complex described by Sigmund Freud and the nickname "''Pussi''", the way the main protagonist is called by his mother throughout the film. Rumors that the title might also be a reference to the James Bond film ''Octopussy'' have been denied by Loriot. Synopsis Paul Winkelmann runs the family's furniture and decoration business. Despite his age (he is 56 years old), he is still single and maintains a close relationship with his mother, who cooks for him and cannot understand that he now has his own apartment. When he meets Margarethe Tietze, a practicing psychologist, the two attempt to join their expertise in order to improve on consulting potential furniture customers with psychological troubles. Rolf Alexander Wilhelm
Rolf Alexander Wilhelm (23 June 1927 – 17 January 2013) was a German composer, film composer, arranger and conductor. Life Born in Munich, at the age of seven Wilhelm received piano lessons. Afterwards he attended the grammar school in Berlin and Vienna. From 1942 he studied piano with a special permission with Grete Hinterhofer and musical composition with Joseph Marx at the Wiener Musikhochschule. His war deployment as Luftwaffenhelfer and the subsequent emprisonment interrupted the musical career of Wilhelm, who returned to destroyed Munich in 1945 with a Notabitur. There he was able to continue his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München from 1946 and passed the school-leaving examination in 1948. ''Pappa Ante Portas'' is a 1991 German comedy film directed by Loriot, who also played the leading role and wrote the script, and Renate Westphal-Lorenz. This was Loriot's second and final feature film, after 1988's Ödipussi. Synopsis Heinrich Lohse is a manager at the "Deutsche Röhren AG", a pipe manufacturing company, who increasingly tends to lose control. After ordering a 40-year supply of typewriting paper and erasers (because of quantity discount), his boss forces him to retire. Confronted with this new situation, Lohse's family reacts in shock. It turns out Heinrich's wife Renate and his son Dieter were quite comfortable with the absent husband and father and do not want to see their situation disrupted.
