Gary Coyne
Gary Coyne (born 30 September 1961) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. An Australia international and Queensland State of Origin representative forward, he played club football in the Brisbane Rugby League for the Wynnum-Manly Seagulls (with whom he won the 1984 premiership) and in the New South Wales Rugby League for the Canberra Raiders (with whom he won the 1989 and 1990 premierships). Playing career Originally from Ipswich, Coyne was a part of Canberra's competition-winning side of the 1989 and 1990 seasons. Coyne also played for the club in two further grand finals which both ended in defeat which were the 1987 and 1991 deciders. John Coyne (born 1937) is an American writer. He is the author of more than 25 nonfiction and fiction books, including a number of horror novels, and his short stories have been collected in "best of" anthologies such as ''Modern Masters of Horror'' and ''The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror''. A former Peace Corps volunteer and a lifelong lover of golf, he has edited and written books dealing with both subjects, including ''The Caddie Who Knew Ben Hogan'', ''The Caddie Who Played With Hickory'', and ''The Caddie Who Won the Masters''. Jeanne Coyne (February 28, 1923 – May 10, 1973) was an American Broadway dancer, choreographer and actress. Biography With Carol Haney (1924 – 1964), Coyne assisted directors Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly, both of whom she married. James Henry Coyne, (October 3, 1849 – January 5, 1942) was a Canadian lawyer and historian. Born in St. Thomas, Canada West (now Ontario), the second son of William Coyne and Christina Patterson, Coyne graduated from University College, Toronto in 1870. He studied law in St. Thomas and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1874. He practiced law in St. Thomas. During the Fenian raids of 1866, Coyne joined the St. Thomas Rifles (or 1st Volunteer Militia Rifle Company at St. Thomas which formed the 25th Elgin Battalion of Infantry and now as 31 Combat Engineer Regiment (The Elgin's)) and served in three campaigns in London, Port Stanley, and Sarnia. He acted as quartermaster-sergeant to the Provisional battalion of volunteers in Thorold. In 1877, he joined the University company of the Queen's Own Rifles, where he remained a member until his graduation in 1870.
