Évreux FC 27
Évreux Football Club 27 is a French association football club founded in 2009. They are based in Évreux, Normandy and are currently playing in the Championnat National 3, the fifth tier of the French football league system. They play at the Stade Du 14 Juillet Madeleine in the town. History The club's relatively late foundation is as a result of a merger between the two local clubs in the city, Évreux AC and ALM Évreux. The merger was initiated by professional football players Mathieu Bodmer and Bernard Mendy. Both players are from the city of Évreux and started their careers at Évreux AC. The merger was officially announced on 15 June 2009 following a meeting held between both club's official. The Championnat National 2, commonly known as National 2 and formerly known as Championnat de France Amateur (CFA), is a football league competition. The league serves as the fourth tier of the French football league system behind Ligue 1, Ligue 2, and the Championnat National. Contested by 64 clubs, the Championnat National 2 operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Championnat National and the Championnat National 3, the fifth division of French football. Seasons run from August to May, with teams in four groups playing 32 games each totalling 1280 games in the season. Most games are played on Saturdays and Sundays, with a few games played during weekday evenings. Play is regularly suspended the last weekend before Christmas for two weeks before returning in the second week of January. French Football League System
The French football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in France and Monaco, and includes one Spanish side. At the top two levels of the system is the Ligue de Football Professionnel, which consists of two professional national divisions, Ligue 1 and Ligue 2. Below that are a number of leagues run by the Fédération Française de Football. At level 3 is the semi-professional Championnat National. Mathieu Bodmer
Mathieu Bodmer (born 22 November 1982) is a French retired professional footballer who played as a midfielder. A former French youth international, he is known for his technique, playmaking skills and striking ability. Club career Early career Bodmer began his professional career at Évreux AC (now Évreux FC) at the age of 14. In 1998, he moved to Stade Malherbe Caen, a club in the second division of French football, where he made his debut in 2000. He played in 24 matches that season and by the end of the 2002–03 season, he had played in 79 matches for the club, scoring a total of four goals. Bernard Mendy (born 20 August 1981) is a French former professional footballer who played as a right-back. He was known for his blistering pace and constant overlapping runs. He most recently served as the assistant manager of Paris Saint-Germain Féminine. Having started his professional career with Caen in the 1998–99 season, Mendy moved to Paris Saint-Germain in 2000 where his eight-year was only interrupted by a season-long loan at Bolton Wanderers. He went on to play for Hull City and OB before returning to France joining Brest in 2012. Masour Ousmane Dembélé (born 15 May 1997) is a French professional footballer who plays as a winger for La Liga club Barcelona and the France national team.
