The Étoile des deux lacs () was a Association football, football club founded in 1898, and located in Paris, France. It was one of the most important clubs in France in the early 20th century, winning six FGSPF Football Championship and six Trophée de France (football), Trophée de France in 1905–07 and 1911–13. History Early success ''Étoile des deux lacs'' (EDL) was founded in 1898, by Father Abbé Biron, as the football team of the parish of Saint-Honoré d'Eylau in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. The EDL, which wore a garnet jersey with a blue star, played on the pitch in ''La Muette'', located near the two lakes of the Bois de Boulogne, hence the club's name. Among its first players, Charles Simon (sports manager), Charles Simon and Henri Delaunay stands out, who fell in love with the sport after watching some of the team's matches. Châtenay-Malabry () is a commune in the southwestern suburbs of Paris. It is located from the center of Paris. The French writer Chateaubriand lived in the estate at Châtenay-Malabry. The Garden City in the Butte Rouge, the , is one of the earliest examples of housing at moderated rents (). Châtenay was the location of , of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Paris-Sud and is the location of French national laboratory of doping detection. Jules Rimet (; 14 October 1873 – 16 October 1956) was a French football administrator who was the 3rd President of FIFA, serving from 1921 to 1954. He is FIFA's longest-serving president, in office for 33 years. He also served as the president of the French Football Federation from 1919 to 1942, and again from 1944 to 1949. On Rimet's initiative, the first FIFA World Cup was held in 1930. The Jules Rimet Trophy was named in his honour. He also founded French club Red Star, known as Red Star Club Français upon its creation in 1897. Early life Jules Rimet was born in 1873 in the commune of Theuley, in the department of Haute-Saône in eastern France. His father was a grocer, and the family moved to Paris in 1884 when Jules was eleven years old. Cercle Athlétique de Paris Charenton is a French football club which plays in the cities of Charenton-le-Pont and Maisons-Alfort, Val-de-Marne. The team is a merger between CA Paris (founded in 1892) and SO Charentonnais (founded in 1904). The two merged in 1964. History CA Paris was founded in 1892 as ''Nationale de Saint-Mandé'', a gymnastic club. In 1896, the football section was founded and took the name of ''FC Paris''. In 1906, the club changed its name to CA Paris in a merge with ''l'Union Sportive de Paris XII'' and ''l'Athlétic Club''. The club won the Coupe de France in 1920 and was runner-up in 1928. The CA Paris played the first two seasons of Ligue 1 in 1932–33 and 1933–34, finishing last with only ten points in 1934.
