Éric Le Chanony
Éric Le Chanony (born February 28, 1968) is a French former bobsledder who competed during the 1990s. He won a bronze medal in the four-man event (tied with Great Britain) at Nagano (city), Nagano in 1998 Winter Olympics, 1998. Le Chanony also won two medals at the FIBT World Championships with one gold (Four-man: FIBT World Championships 1999, 1999) and one bronze (Two-man: FIBT World Championships 1995, 1995). FIBT World Championships
The IBSF World Championships (known as the FIBT World Championships until 2015), part of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation, have taken place on an annual basis since 1930. Starting with 2002, championships of non-Winter Olympic years have not been held. A two-man event was included in 1931 with a combined championship occurring in 1947. Men's skeleton was introduced as a championship of its own in 1982 while women's bobsleigh and skeleton events were introduced in 2000. Both the women's bobsleigh and skeleton events were merged with the men's bobsleigh events at the 2004 championships. The 1998 Winter Olympics, officially known as the and commonly known as Nagano 1998 ( ja, 長野1998), was a winter multi-sport event held from 7 to 22 February 1998, mainly in Nagano, Japan, with some events taking place in the nearby mountain communities of Hakuba, Karuizawa, Nozawa Onsen, and Yamanouchi.
