Turkish ( , ), also referred to as Turkish of Turkey (''Türkiye Türkçesi''), is the most widely spoken of the Turkic languages, with around 80 to 90 million speakers. A waterfall is a point in a river or stream where water flows over a vertical drop or a series of steep drops. The Turkish Language Association ( tr, Türk Dil Kurumu, TDK) is the regulatory body for the Turkish language, founded on 12 July 1932 by the initiative of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and headquartered in Ankara, Turkey. Armağan Ali Çağlayan (born 8 April 1966) is a Turkish television producer and lawyer. Career Çağlayan taught Creativity in Communication as a research assistant at the Faculty of Art and Design at Istanbul Kültür University and lectured at the Public Relations and Advertising and Visual Communication departments at Beykent University. He later worked as a columnist and conducted interviews for ''Radikal'' newspaper. On 3 February 2016, he started writing for ''Nokta'' magazine. Hussein Chalayan, (; tr, Hüseyin Çağlayan ; born 12 August 1970) is a British-Cypriot fashion designer. He has won the British Designer of the Year twice (in 1999 and 2000) and was awarded the MBE in 2006. Chalayan is currently teaching at HTW Berlin. Early life and education Hussein Chalayan was born in Nicosia in 1970 and graduated from the Türk Maarif Koleji secondary school in his hometown. At that time the population of the island was divided because of the constant struggles between the Greek and Turkish authorities. Mesude Çağlayan
Mesude Çağlayan (1918 – 31 July 2011) was a Turkish operatic soprano. Early life Mesude was born in Edirne, Ottoman Empire, in 1918. She obtained her surname "Çağlayan" later. She studied opera at Ankara State Conservatory, and graduated in 1942. Opera career On 21 June 1940, the Ankara Halkevi ("Community Center of Ankara") staged its first opera, Mozart's one-act singspiel ''Bastien und Bastienne''. In the following performance that night, the second act of Puccini's ''Madama Butterfly'', Çağlayan made her stage debut as "Cio-Cio-san" (Japanese for butterfly) or "Madama Butterfly". Mehmet Zafer Çağlayan (born 10 November 1957 in Muş) is a Turkish politician and former Minister. He is a member of parliament from the ruling Justice and Development Party and the former Minister of Economic Affairs under Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Biography Born to a Turkish-Kurdish family, Çağlayan graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from Gazi University in Ankara in 1980 and went on to a career in the aluminum industry.
