Çarymyrat Amanow
Colonel General Çarymyrat Kakalyýewiç Amanow is a Turkmenistani general and politician who served until April 2022 in the position of deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers responsible for security, military, and justice and secretary of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan. Biography He was born in 1966 in Ahal Region. In 1990 he graduated from the Turkmen State University. A mathematician by trade, he became a teacher of mathematics at Secondary School No. 6 in Geoktepe the year of his graduation before enrolling in the Higher School of the KGB the following year. From 1992 to 2007 he served in various positions in the Committee and Ministry of National Security of Turkmenistan. Ahal Region
Ahal Region ( tk, Ahal welaýaty; from fa, آخال, Axāl) is one of five provinces of Turkmenistan. It is in the south-center of the country, bordering Iran and Afghanistan along the Kopet Dag Range. Yaylym Yagmyrovich Berdiyev ( tk, Ýaýlym Ýagmyrowiç Berdiýew, Cyrillic: Яйлым Ягмырович Бердиев) is a Turkmen general and politician. He is a former Minister of National Security as well as the former Secretary of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan. A deputy prime minister or vice prime minister is, in some countries, a government minister who can take the position of acting prime minister when the prime minister is temporarily absent. Gurbanguly Mälikgulyýewiç Berdimuhamedow (born 29 June 1957), also known as Arkadag (Cyrillic: Аркадаг, "protector"), is a Turkmen politician who served as the second president of Turkmenistan from 2006 to 2022. A dentist by profession, Berdimuhamedow served in the government of president Saparmurat Niyazov as the minister of health in 1997 and as the vice president in 2001. He became acting president following Niyazov's death on 21 December 2006 and subsequently won the 2007 presidential election. He faced no meaningful opposition and won by an overwhelming margin with 89% of the vote. In 2012, he was re-elected for a second term with 97% of the vote and he was re-elected again in 2017 with 97.7% of the vote. Turkmen Military Academies
The Armed Forces of Turkmenistan currently funds 2 high ranking educational institutions: The Military Academy of Turkmenistan and the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan. Aside from those two schools, there are several military schools around the country, specializing in the training of personnel of a branches of service. In the early 1990s when the armed forces were rapidly being developed, many officers were trained in the Russian Federation's Ministry of Defense, while at least 300 officers were sent to schools in Turkey. The president of Turkmenistan ( tk, Türkmenistanyň prezidenti), officially the president and chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, is the head of state and head of government of Turkmenistan. The president is also the supreme commander in chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan and heads the State Security Council. Serdar Berdimuhamedow is the current president of Turkmenistan, the third in the history of the country since it gained independence with the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. He succeeded his father, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow when the latter stepped down in 2022 after a reign of 15 years, the first president to do so.
