Aarhus County or Århus County ( da, Århus Amt) is a former county of Denmark (Danish: ''amt'') on the Jutland peninsula. It was created in 1970 by a merger of three counties: Århus, Randers and Skanderborg. The county was abolished effective 1 January 2007, when almost all of it merged into Region Midtjylland (i.e. ''Region Central Jutland''). Hinnerup Municipality
Until 1 January 2007 Hinnerup municipality was a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Aarhus County on the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 76 km², and had a total population of 12.048 (2005). Its last mayor was Niels Berg, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and site of its municipal council was the town of Hinnerup. Hinnerup municipality ceased to exist due to ''Kommunalreformen'' ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with Hadsten, Hammel, and Hvorslev municipalities, as well as the southern part of Langå municipality to form the new Favrskov municipality. Rønde Municipality
Rønde (or Roende) is a town on the southern part of the peninsula, Djursland in Denmark, Northern Europe, 23 kilometers north-east of the north end of Denmark's second largest city, Aarhus. It is in part a commuter town to Aarhus, with a motorway entering Aarhus from the north. Rønde is located between Aarhus, and Aarhus Airport with a 12 kilometer drive from Rønde to the airport. Rosenholm Municipality
Until 1 January 2007 Rosenholm municipality was a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in the former Aarhus County on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark just north of Aarhus and is more or less a suburb today. The municipality covered an area of 141 km2, and had a total population of 10.325 (2005). Its last mayor was Richard Volander, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. Randers Municipality
Randers Municipality is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Midtjylland on the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. Odder Municipality
Odder Municipality is a municipality (Danish: '' kommune'') in the Central Denmark Region on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in Central Denmark south of Aarhus. It is a part of the greater Aarhus area. The municipality covers an area of 225.04 km², including the islands of Alrø and Tunø. It borders Aarhus Municipality to the north, Skanderborg Municipality to the north-west and Horsens Municipality to the west.
