"Älvorna" is a song written by Lars "Dille" Diedricson, Marcos Ubeda and Dan Attlerud. The song was performed by Sarek at Melodifestivalen 2004, where it was knocked out at Andra chansen. The single peaked at number eight on the Swedish Singles Chart. The song also charted at Svensktoppen ''Svensktoppen'' () is a weekly record chart airing at Sveriges Radio. Until January 2003, the songs had to be in the Swedish language. Svensktoppen has aired since 1962, except for the years 1982-1985. Melodifestivalen 2004
Melodifestivalen 2004 was the selection for the 44th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 43rd time that this system of picking a song had been used. Five heats had taken place to select the ten songs for the final, in Karlstad, Gothenburg, Umeå, Malmö and a Second Chance round in Stockholm. The final was broadcast on SVT1 and Sveriges Radio's P4 network. The winner was Lena Philipsson with "Det gör ont" who later that year came in 5th place in Eurovision Song Contest 2004 in Turkey with the English-language version '' It Hurts''. Sarek (band)
Sarek was a Swedish folk-pop band formed in 2002, taking their name from Sarek National Park. They debuted in 2002 with the single "Vinterland" ("Winter land") and in 2003 they broke through with their single "Genom eld och vatten" ("Through fire and water") in Melodifestivalen. The group parted ways in 2012. Lars Diedricson
Lars "Dille" Diedricson (12 August 1961 – 6 March 2017) was a Swedish musician and songwriter living in Skara. He was a member of the band Snowstorm when it was founded in 1976 and in the 1990s Diedricson fronted the band Don Patrol who released two albums and opened for David Lee Roth in Europe in 1991. Don Patrol had reunited to release an album in 2015. He won the Eurovision Song Contest 1999 as the songwriter for Take Me to Your Heaven performed by Charlotte Nilsson for Sweden. Sarek (album)
Sarek is a fictional character in the ''Star Trek'' media franchise. He is a Vulcan astrophysicist, the Vulcan ambassador to the United Federation of Planets, and father of Spock.
