Âşık Ali İzzet Özkan
Âşık Ali İzzet Özkan (1902–1981) was a Turkish ashik and poet. A native of Şarkışla, Özkan became an ashik at a young age, and went to Adana at the age of 22 to compete with other ashiks from Çukurova. Özkan wandered throughout Turkey for many years and composer numerous original poems. He also participated in the festival of Turkish ashiks held in Konya. Şarkışla
Şarkışla is a town in the Central Anatolian Sivas Province of Turkey. It is the seat of Şarkışla District.İlçe Belediyesi Turkey Civil Administration Departments Inventory. Retrieved 22 May 2023. Konya
Konya is a major city in central Turkey, on the southwestern edge of the Central Anatolian Plateau, and is the capital of Konya Province. A composer is a person who writes music. The term is especially used to indicate composers of Western classical music, or those who are composers by occupation.
