ﾃ］gel Gabilondo Pujol (born 1 March 1949) is a Spanish university professor, currently serving as the 6th Ombudsman of Spain. Between 2009 and 2011, he was Minister of Education in Josﾃｩ Luis Rodrﾃｭguez Zapatero's Cabinet. In June 2011, he received the Medalla de Oro for the Universidad de Mﾃ｡laga. On 30 December 2011 he received a condecoration for the Order of Charles III and also the Orden de Alfonso X el Sabio on 26 December 2014. In 2015, he was named Spanish Socialist Workers' Party's candidate for the Community of Madrid 2015 election. He returned to be a candidate for the 2016 election. Suggested by Pedro Sﾃ｡nchez, he was again the PSOE candidate for the 2019 election. In October 2018, he offered himself to be the president of Madrid, in order to succeed ﾃ］gel Garrido. The Spanish Ombudsman or Defender of the People ''(Spanish: Defensor del Pueblo)'' is the ombudsman of the Cortes Generales responsible for defending the fundamental rights and public liberties of citizens by supervising the activity of public administrations. The ombudsman is created by the Constitution and regulated by an Organic Law of 1981. The ombudsman and the two deputy ombudsmans are nominated by both the Congress of Deputies and Senate through a joint committee that chooses the candidates and proposes them to the Chambers. The candidates must be approved by three-fifths of both Chambers. If these qualified majorities are not reached, a new joint committee must to be formed to choose another candidate or to maintain the previous one but the second must get in a second voting three fifths of the Congress and an absolute majority of the Senate. Telemadrid is a public regional television station in the Community of Madrid, Spain, the flagship channel of the regional public broadcaster Radio Televisiﾃｳn Madrid (RTVM). It began its broadcast on 2 May 1989. History First years Telemadrid was created when Joaquﾃｭn Leguina (PSOE) was the regional president. ﾃ］gel Garrido Garcﾃｭa (born 7 April 1964) is a Spanish politician who served as President of the Community of Madrid between April 2018 and April 2019. He was a member of the People's Party until 24 April 2019, only four days ahead of the 2019 Spanish general election, when he announced he was joining Citizens. Pedro Sﾃ｡nchez Pﾃｩrez-Castejﾃｳn (; born 29 February 1972) is a Spanish politician who has been Prime Minister of Spain since June 2018. He has also been Secretary-General of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) since June 2017, having previously held that office from 2014 to 2016. Sﾃ｡nchez began his political career in 2004 as a city councillor in Madrid, before being elected to the Congress of Deputies in 2009. In 2014 he was elected Secretary-General of the PSOE, becoming Leader of the Opposition. 2015 Madrilenian Parliamentary Election
The 2015 Madrilenian regional election was held on Sunday, 24 May 2015, to elect the 10th Assembly of the Community of Madrid. All 129 seats in the Assembly were up for election. The election was held simultaneously with regional elections in twelve other autonomous communities and local elections all throughout Spain. The ruling People's Party (PP) emerged once again as the largest political force in the region, but it saw a substantial drop in its vote support and the loss of the absolute majority it had held almost uninterruptedly since 1995窶背ith a brief interlude in 2003窶. However, as both the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) and newcomer Podemos fell one seat short of an absolute majority, it meant that the PP could remain in government through an agreement with liberal Citizens (C's).
