Ángel Darío Banegas
Ángel Darío Banegas Leiva (born 21 October 1969 in Santa Bárbara, Honduras) is a Honduran political cartoonist, former reporter, television host and politician. He currently serves as deputy of the National Congress of Honduras representing the Liberal Party of Honduras for Cortés. Career He started as reporter and press correspondent during his youth, also he was sports commentator in some radio stations in San Pedro Sula. However he started his career as cartoonist in 1985, making a daily cartoon in El Heraldo. Later in 1989, he was hired by Diario Tiempo and one year later began in La Prensa where he is actually. Since 2003, he hosts and directs a daily television program in Telered 21 called ''En voz alta''. Liberal Party Of Honduras
The Liberal Party of Honduras (Spanish: ''Partido Liberal de Honduras)'' is a centrist liberal political party in Honduras that was founded in 1891. It is the oldest extant political party in the country, and one of the two main parties that have until recently dominated Honduran politics. The party is a member of the Liberal International. The PLH is identified with the colours red and white, as the flag Francisco Morazán used in most of his military campaigns during time of the Central American Federal Republic. Cortés Department
Cortés is one of the 18 departments of Honduras. The department covers an area of 3,954 km² and, in 2015, had an estimated population of 1,612,762, making it the most populous in Honduras. The Merendón Mountains rise in western Cortés, but the department is mostly a tropical lowland, the Sula Valley, crossed by the Ulúa and Chamelecon rivers. It was created in 1893 from parts of the departments of Santa Bárbara and Yoro. The departmental capital is San Pedro Sula.
