Ágnes Triffa (born 18 January 1987) is a Hungarian handball goalkeeper for Debreceni VSC and the Hungarian national team. She made her international debut on 2 June 2006 against Argentina, and took part on the World Championship in 2009. Gyula (town)
Gyula (; german: Jula; ro, Jula or ) is a town in Békés County, Hungary. The town is best known for its Medieval castle and a thermal bath. Ferenc Erkel, the composer of the Hungarian national anthem, and Albrecht Dürer the Elder, the father of Albrecht Dürer, were also born in Gyula. Geography Gyula is located in the Great Hungarian Plain on the River Fehér-Körös, southeast from Budapest and from the border with Romania. The Békéscsaba-Gyula-Kötegyán railway line and Highway 44 also cross the town. World Women's Handball Championship
The IHF Women's Handball World Championship has been organized by the International Handball Federation since 1957. European teams have won every time except 1995 where South Korea won as the first team outside Europe and 2013 where Brazil won as the first American team. The biggest winners are Russia and Norway with four titles each. Nine teams participated in the first championship, this number has grown in steps to 32 (from 2021). In 1977 a B-tournament was introduced and later in 1986 a C-tournament which served as qualification for the real championship or A-tournament. The B- and C-tournament qualifications were replaced by the present qualification system based on continental confederations in 1993. From 1993 it has been held every other year. The Women's EHF European League is an annual competition for women's handball clubs of Europe. It is organized by the European Handball Federation, EHF. It is currently the second-tier competition of European club handball, ranking only below the Women's EHF Champions League, EHF Champions League. Nemzeti Bajnokság I (Women's Handball)
The Nemzeti Bajnokság (, "National Championship"), also known as NB I, is the top level of the Hungarian football league system. The league is officially named OTP Bank Liga after its title sponsor OTP Bank. UEFA currently ranks the league 28th in Europe. Twelve teams compete in the league, playing each other three times, once at home, once away, and the third match is played at the stadium that the last match was not played at. At the end of the season, the top team enters the qualification for the UEFA Champions League, while the runner-up and the third place, together with the winner of the Magyar Kupa enter the UEFA Europa Conference League qualification rounds. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end.
