Ajka
Ajka () is a city in Hungary with about 35,000 inhabitants. It is situated in the hills of Bakony. History Around 1000 BCE, the area was inhabited by Celts. By the second century CE, the territory was conquered by the Romans. The Hungarians occupied the area in the early 10th century. The village Ajka was named after the Ajka clan, which, in turn, got its name after its ancestor, a knight named Heiko, who was a member of the retinue of Gisela, Princess of Bavaria, wife of King St. Stephen in the early 11th century. The village itself was first mentioned in 1214, when it was already about 100 years old. The village developed slowly during the next few centuries. Real prosperity came only in the second half of the 19th century, when coal resources were found nearby. In the 1930s, vast bauxite resources were found, too. The 2010–11 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, also known as NB I, was the 109th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league is officially named ''Monicomp Liga'' for sponsorship reasons. The season began on 30 July 2010 and ended on 27 May 2011. Debrecen are the defending champions having won their fifth Hungarian championship and second in a row last season. Teams Nyíregyháza and Diósgyőr finished the 2009–10 season in the last two places and thus were relegated to their respective NB II divisions. Nyíregyháza ended a three-year stint in Hungary's highest football league while Diósgyőr were relegated after six years. Promotion to the league was achieved by the champions of the 2009–10 NB II Eastern Division, Szolnok and by the champions of the Western Division, Siófok. The 2017–18 Nemzeti Bajnokság I (also known as 2017–18 OTP Bank Liga), also known as NB I, was the 119th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league was officially named ''OTP Bank Liga'' for sponsorship reasons. Honvéd were the defending champions, having won their fourteenth Hungarian league title. As in the previous season, 12 teams competed for the championship title and played 33 matches. The fixtures were published on 14 July 2017. On 20 June 2017, the rounds were drawn by the Hungarian Football Federation. The 33 rounds was divided into two parts. 19 rounds were played in 2017 and the remaining 14 in 2018. The 2016–17 Nemzeti Bajnokság II was Hungary's second-level football competition. The season was won by Puskás Akadémia FC, while Balmazújvárosi FC finished second by beating Kisvárda FC on the last day of the match day by 1–0 on 4 June 2017. The 2015–16 Nemzeti Bajnokság II is Hungary's second-level football competition. The championship was won by Gyirmót FC Győr and they were also promoted to the 2016–17 Nemzeti Bajnokság I along with Mezőkövesd-Zsóry SE. The 2013–14 Nemzeti Bajnokság II football season was a single sixteen-team league, unlike previous years, which had two geographically-based sixteen-team groups. BFC Siofok and Egri FC were relegated from the 2012–13 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, but Egri FC did not receive a license for the national championship. Zalaegerszegi TE and Vasas SC finished the 2011–12 season in the bottom two places of the table and thus were relegated to their respective NB II divisions. Vasas ended an 8-year stay in the top league. Zalaegerszeg ended an 18-year stay in the top league. The two relegated teams were replaced with the champions of the two 2011–12 NB II groups, Egri FC of the East Group and MTK Budapest FC of the West Group.
