À Beira Do Caminho
''À Beira do Caminho'' is a 2012 Brazilian drama film directed by Breno Silveira, starring João Miguel, Ângelo Antônio, Dira Paes, VinÃcius Nascimento, and Ludmila Rosa. The title of the film is a reference to the 1969 popular song " Sentado à Beira do Caminho" by Erasmo Carlos. Plot João, a truck driver, leaves his hometown and travels across the country. On one of his trips, he discovers a boy, Duda, hidden in his truck; the child, who has no mother, is in search of his father. João reluctantly agrees to take him to the nearest city, and ends up forming a friendship with him. Breno Silveira
Breno Silveira (5 February 1964 – 14 May 2022) was a Brazilian filmmaker noted for having directed ''Two Sons of Francisco'', the highest-grossing film of 2005. Early life and education Silveira was born in BrasÃlia. He studied in Paris at the École Louis Lumière. Biography He worked as camera assistant in Suzana Amaral's 1985 film '' The Hour of the Star.'' In 1995 he worked as director of photography of Carla Camurati's '' Carlota Joaquina, Princess of Brazil''. He did also the cinematography for the 2000 film, '' Me, You, Them'', directed by Andrucha Waddington. Silveira directed music videos for Marisa Monte, Os Paralamas do Sucesso and O Rappa, among other artists. His debut as filmmaker was with the 2005 biopic ''Two Sons of Francisco'', about the sertanejo duo Zezé di Camargo & Luciano. Erasmo Carlos (born Erasmo Esteves; 5 June 1941 – 22 November 2022) was a Brazilian singer and songwriter, most closely associated with his friend and longtime collaborator Roberto Carlos (no relation).
