.O.rang (or 'O'rang) is an English experimental music project led by former Talk Talk members Lee Harris and Paul Webb, with a shifting cast of guest musicians. .O.rang's music exhibits more culturally diverse influences than Talk Talk. Bark Psychosis
Bark Psychosis are an English post-rock band/musical project from east London formed in 1986. They were one of the bands that Simon Reynolds cited when coining "post-rock" as a musical style in 1994, and are thus considered one of the key bands defining the genre. In its original form, the group was a quartet of Graham Sutton, Daniel Gish, John Ling and Mark Simnett. This line-up (with contributions from other passing members) recorded most of the early EPs and the seminal 1994 album '' Hex''. Lee Harris (drummer)
Lee David Harris (born 20 July 1962) is an English drummer and musician. Harris attended The Deanes School with Paul Webb, and they became good friends. The Echo Label
The Echo Label was a British record label started by Chrysalis Group in 1994, and linked with Pony Canyon in Japan. The Chrysalis Group were the original owners of Chrysalis Records, which they sold to EMI. In 2005, The Echo Label recorded a loss of over £2.0 million. The decision was taken to restructure the business at the beginning of the 2006 financial year, into an "incubator" for developing writer-artists with the intention of "upstreaming" them to a major label. The signings which resulted from this included Bat for Lashes, Steven Lindsay, Rosalie Deighton, Jacob Golden and Sarabeth Tucek. Portishead (band)
Portishead () is an English band formed in 1991 in Bristol. The band is named after Portishead, Somerset, eight miles west of Bristol, along the coast. The band comprises vocalist Beth Gibbons, producer Geoff Barrow, and musician Adrian Utley; Dave McDonald, an engineer on their first records, is sometimes cited as the fourth member. Graham Sutton (musician)
Graham Sutton (born 1972) is an English musician and record producer based in Hackney, UK. He is best known as the leader and key figure of seminal post-rock band Bark Psychosis, as well as being a producer for alternative rock bands since the late 1990s. Personal projects Bark Psychosis Sutton first came to attention as the main figure in the band Bark Psychosis in which he played guitar, sampler and assorted keyboards as well as handling lead vocals where necessary. Post-rock is a form of experimental rock characterized by a focus on exploring textures and timbre over traditional rock song structures, chords, or riffs.
