Universal generalization
In predicate logic, generalization (also universal generalization, universal introduction, GEN, UG) is a validinference rule. It states that if ⊢P(x){\displaystyle \vdash \!P(x)} has been derived, then ⊢∀xP(x){\displaystyle \vdash \!\forall x\,P(x)} can be derived.
