Type-cD galaxy

The type-cD galaxy (also cD-type galaxy, cD galaxy) is a galaxy morphology classification, a subtype of type-Dgiantelliptical galaxy. Characterized by a large halo of stars, they can be found near the centres of some rich galaxy clusters.
