The Siberian Traps (Russian: Сибирские траппы, romanized: Sibirskiye trappy) are a large region of volcanic rock, known as a large igneous province, in Siberia, Russia. Large volumes of basalticlava covered a large expanse of Siberia in a flood basalt event.
