Repeating coil

In telecommunications, a repeating coil is a voice-frequencytransformer characterized by a closed magnetic core, a pair of identical balanced primary (line) windings, a pair of identical but not necessarily balanced secondary (drop) windings, and low transmission loss at voice frequencies.
