Junta de freguesia

The junta de freguesia (Portuguese for "parish board", pronounced) is the executive body of a freguesia (civil parish), a subdivision of each municipality of Portugal. Each freguesia also has a legislature, this being the assembleia de freguesia (parish assembly).
