Category 4 Pacific hurricaneHurricane Nora was the first tropical cyclone to enter the Continental United States from the Pacific Ocean since Hurricane Lester in 1992. Nora was the fifteenth named tropical cyclone and the seventh hurricane of the 1997 Pacific hurricane season.
