Hans Vermeer

Hans Josef Vermeer (24 September 1930 – 4 February 2010), was a Germanlinguist and translation scholar. Vermeer was Professor of Linguistics at the University of Mainz in Germersheim and held a chair in Translation Studies at Heidelberg University.
