Fibrinopeptide A

The fibrinopeptides, fibrinopeptide A (FpA) and fibrinopeptide B (FpB), are peptides which are located in the central region of the fibrousglycoproteinfibrinogen (factor I) and are cleaved by the enzymethrombin (factor IIa) to convert fibrinogen into covalently-linkedfibrin (factor IA) monomers.
