William Pellen

William Adam Victor Pellen (born 1985 or 1986) is an Australian video game designer and former web designer. He is the co-founder and co-director of the indie game development studio Team Cherry, which developed the highly successful and acclaimed titles Hollow Knight (2017) and Hollow Knight: Silksong (2025).
From 2008 to 2011, Pellen worked at Optus, later working as a freelance and employed web designer. As a hobby, he developed small indie games such as the flash gameReturn to Booty Grotto (2012) and the cancelled Stencyl-developed Lulanda. Pellen co-founded Team Cherry alongside Ari Gibson in 2014.
