Washington State Guard

The Washington State Guard is the state defense force of the U.S. state of Washington. It is an all-volunteer, uniformed public service organization which serves under the command of the Governor of Washington as commander-in-chief and is directed by the Adjutant General. It is an element of the state's military forces, which also include the Washington Army National Guard and the Washington Air National Guard, but it stands separate from the National Guard and is used for service within the State of Washington.
