Wakhi (ښیکوار, Х̆икв̆ор, romanized:X̌ikwor, pronounced ) is an Eastern Iranic language within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family, spoken primarily by the Wakhi people native to the Wakhan region in Afghanistan and Tajikistan, as well as neighboring areas of Pakistan and China.
