Train communication network

A train communication network (TCN) refers to a specific implementation for how equipment installed on a train communicates with other equipment installed on the same train. It is defined in international standard IEC 61375. This specific standard uses two fieldbus networks. It consists of the Multifunction Vehicle Bus (MVB) inside each vehicle and of the Wire Train Bus (WTB) to connect the different vehicles.
