Toronto Transit Commission bus system

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) uses buses and other vehicles for public transportation. In 2025, the TTC has 205 bus routes in operation, including 28 night bus routes, carrying over 192million revenue riders over 5,807.8 kilometres (3,608.8 mi) of routes with buses travelling 144 million kilometres (89 million mi) in the year. As of the second quarter of 2026, the system had a ridership of about 1,093,600 per weekday, including transfers.
Bus routes extend throughout the city and are integrated with the subway system and the streetcar system, with free transfers among the three systems. Many subway stations are equipped with bus terminals, and a few with streetcar terminals, located within a fare paid area.
As of 2025, the conventional bus system has about 2,100 buses in two bus lengths: 12-metre (40 ft) regular buses, and 18.3-metre (60 ft) articulated buses. Additionally, there are 285 eight-metre (26 ft) minibuses serving community bus routes and the Wheel-Trans paratransit system. Bus propulsion includes diesel, diesel-electric hybrid, battery-electric and gasoline. All buses are fully accessible with low floors and, except for minibuses, all are equipped with bicycle racks.
